Play The story of Sau Baras Ki set to captivate the children of Islooite
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – May 28, 2022): Swaang Production presents a children’s theater play “Sau Baras Ki Story” from June 4 aiming to revive the vanished tradition of children’s theaters with a story full of colours, music, theater and entertainment.
The drama would include two-day performances to be held on June 4 and 5 at 7 p.m. in Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai Auditorium, Sector H-8 Islamabad.
A one-and-a-half-hour play brimming with song, dance and suspense was created especially for children and was adapted from the story of the western “Sleeping Beauty”.
The story of the play revolves around a princess who is put to sleep by a witch called “Kali” and a young middle class boy is needed to wake her up.
Disclosing the details of the play, Safeer Ullah Khan, the play’s director, told APP on Saturday that “Sau Baras Ki Story (A Tale of 100 Years)” is a thriller that will be performed by a team of twelve characters in glittering costumes. , quality lighting and captivating props as the story demands.
“We have staged this play especially for children and teenagers as we feel that no one in Pakistan is working on theater for children and it is our moral responsibility as a whole to provide entertainment for our children. I ensures that children will certainly enjoy our show,” he said.
Emphasizing the importance of plays in society, he said that theater is a cultural phenomenon that allows society to examine itself in the mirror and helps promote social discourse, justice and positive social change.
